Downton
Abbey the Motion Picture (Rated PG)- The
beloved characters of Downton Abbey take to the big screen, and it turns out
that they've got a major event to prepare for. After all, it's not every day
that royalty makes an appearance. Of course, it's not long before tensions are
running high. The property isn't even close to ready when it becomes clear that
Carson the butler will need to come out of retirement to help run this sinking
ship before it's too late.
Goldfinch (Rated
R)- Theodore 'Theo' Decker was thirteen years old when his mother
was killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tragedy changes
the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt,
reinvention and redemption, and even love. Through it all, he holds on to one
tangible piece of hope from that terrible day, a painting of a tiny bird
chained to its perch.
How
to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming (Not Rated)- When
it becomes clear that the new generation of Vikings doesn't remember the bond
between dragon and human. Hiccup sets a plan to celebrate dragons with a grand
Snoggletog holiday pageant and gets a heartwarming surprise visit from
Toothless for one more adventure.
It
Chapter Two (Rated R)- Twenty-seven
years after they defeated Pennywise, he has returned to terrorize the town of
Derry once more. When kids start disappearing again, Mike, the only one who
stayed in Derry, calls the others to come home. Each damaged by the experiences
of the past, they must conquer their fears to destroy Pennywise once and for
all.
Judy (Rated PG-13)- Thirty years after rising to global stardom in The Wizard of
Oz, showbiz legend Judy Garland arrives in London to perform a five-week
sold-out run at The Talk of the Town. While preparing for the shows, Garland
battles with management, reminisces with friends and adoring fans, and embarks
on a whirlwind romance with soon-to-be fifth husband Mickey Deans, all while
bravely struggling to overcome intensifying anxiety and physical decline.
Once
Upon a Time in Hollywood (Rated R)- Follows an actor and his stunt double in late-sixties Los
Angeles as they navigate the changing film industry.
Doc
Martin Season 9 (Not Rated)- All
is not well for brilliant but boorish Dr. Martin Ellingham as the hit British
dramedy returns. To Martin's utter disgust, his medical practice remains under
official scrutiny because of his pre-existing blood phobia, and he is forced to
attend refresher courses starting with phlebotomy. His wife, Louisa, and aunt
Ruth urge him to take this risk to his career seriously, but events conspire
against him..
Game
of Thrones Season 8 (Rated TV-MA)- The
series concludes with the Great War against the Army of the Dead and the Last
War for control of the Iron Throne.
Orville
Season 2 (Not Rated)- Seth
MacFarlane's hit space adventure series returns for more journeys into new
worlds. Set 400 years in the future, the series follows the U.S.S. Orville, a
mid-level exploratory spaceship. Its crew, both human and alien, face the
wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the problems of
everyday life.
